Eadie, Mary A.
Mary A. Eadie - Pueblo Chieftain - May 14, 2003 - Mary A. Eadie, 85, of Austin, Minn., and formerly of Pueblo, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2003, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin. Mary Angelina Cocetti was born on Jan. 28, 1918, to Alfredo and Maurizia Cocetti. She lived in the Walsenburg area, and graduated from Huerfano County High School in 1936. On May 17, 1941, she married George Eadie Jr. in Raton, N.M. They moved to Pueblo, where he died in October of 1986. Mary received her associate degree in mental health at the University of Southern Colorado, and worked for 20 years at Colorado State Hospital in Pueblo. In addition to her husband, Mary is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (James) Fritzler of Midland, Texas, Gloria (Terry) Gaber of Greeley, Colo., and Mary Alice (James) Troyer of Austin, Minn.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Blagg of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Pueblo, and Jeanine Eadie of Pueblo. Viewing will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2003, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Ron Roche officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Gladys I. Eagon - Pueblo Chieftain - February 28, 2000 - Gladys I. Eagon, 88, passed away Feb. 24, 2000. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter V. Eagon, March 13, 1982, and by her grandson-in-law, Bill Springer. Survived by daughters, Norma (Bob) Ferguson and Beverly (Dick) Whitmore; grandchildren, Susan (Jeff) Hartbauer, Debbie Ferguson, Julie (Scott) Stalcar, Judi Ferguson, all from Pueblo, Doug Ferguson, Pueblo West, Pamela (Ron) Tucker, New Lenox, Ill., Kara Springer, Genoa, Ill., Kathleen (Paul) Cullison, Sheridan, Colo., and Dr. R. Michael Whitmore, Sayre, Pa. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one aunt. She worked as a psychiatric technician at the Colorado State Hospital and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Public viewing hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday. Funeral Service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rose Chapel, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the VFW Post No. 3641, 201 E. Adams, immediately following the interment.

Earl Charles Eberhardt - Pueblo Chieftain - April 25, 1998 - Earl Charles Eberhardt passed away April 23, 1998. Survived by his wife, Maurice Dickens Eberhardt of Integrated Health Services in Colorado Springs; his children, Marion Earl (Larneda) Eberhardt, Walla Walla, Wash., Larry Don (Sondra) Eberhardt, Lamar, Dorothy Kay Merlo, Colorado Springs, Dennis Eugene Eberhardt and Roy Lee Eberhardt, both of Denver. Also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two brothers, August and Albert Eberhardt; and one grandson, Robert Earl Eberhardt, in 1981. Earl married Maurice E. Dickens on Dec. 14, 1939, and together they have lived the last 51 years in southeastern Colorado. They farmed for many years around Wiley and McClave. Mr. Eberhardt became a journeyman electrician in the 1970s and retired from the Colorado State Hospital in 1986. Mr. Eberhardt was a United States World War II Army Veteran and a member of the I.O.O.F. in Lamar. Funeral service, Tuesday, 10 a.m., Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford, Pueblo. Interment, Tuesday, 3:30 P.M., Fairmount Cemetery, Lamar. The family respectfully requests the omission of food. Colorado Springs Gazette - April 26, 1998 - Earl Charles Eberhardt, 83, died April 23, 1998, at a local hospital. He had served in the Army and was a retired electrician. Mr. Eberhardt was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Omega, Okla. He was married to Maurice E. Dickens. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Marion Earl, Larry Don, Dennis Eugene and Roy Lee; a daughter, Dorothy Kay Merlo; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford Ave., Pueblo. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar. Denver Evening Post 1-23-1899 – Probing Asylum Affairs – Tilts Between Investigators Enliven the Proceedings – Pueblo, Jan. 23 – Dr. Hubert Work, the temporary superintendent of the asylum, who has been active as its provisional superintendent since Dec. 25 last, was the first witness called this morning. Dr. Work testified that when he assumed the provisional superintendency no invoices of drugs, furniture, or fixtures was given to him. As to the management of the asylum, T. J. Burrows was supervisor; Mrs. Thombs held the next position, that of matron; J. H. Loor is steward, and Mrs. Lucy Edwards, chief nurse, is followed by the nurses, who number fifteen, and are directly under her supervision.
