This Project encompasses Huerfano County, Pueblo County, and Las Animas County, Colorado.  The first obituaries were initially contributed by the Huerfano County researchers, but as time went by we found it growing into its own Project. When we reached 25,000 obituaries we realized we would have to break it down into seperate phases. We are well on our way to hitting 100,000 obituaries! My utmost THANKS and appreciation to everyone that made this project happen!!! It is literally impossible to note every person that has contributed to this project, but you know who you are and know that you are so very appreciated! So many times I was ready to give it up, but my wonderful volunteers propped me up, dusted me off, and said "Let's get back to work." (grin). Without all of their hard work and support this database would not be online. My utmost appreciation to Louise Adams for agreeing to be our Tri-County Obituary Coordinator.
