They were married: November 18, 1823 in Buncome County, NC MARRIAGE: PATTERSON, Sarah Rosella on December 8, 1867 in Hayesville, Clay Co., NC (see Patterson) DIED: October 22, 1913 in La Veta, Colorado BURIED: La Veta Pioneer Cemetery NOTES: In 1872 the Kimsey/Patterson family traveled as part of the Georgia Colony and settled in Greenhorn, Colorado which was then in Huerfano County. Later the area partitioned off from Huerfano and is now in Pueblo County. In 1880 the Kimsey family moved to La Veta where William was the local magistrate “Justice of the Peace” in Huerfano County, Colorado and his homestead was on Valley Road and he had a ranch on Middle Creek. ...............................................................
