Later the area partitioned off from Huerfano and is now in Pueblo County. In 1880 the Kimsey family moved to La Veta where William was the local magistrate “Justice of the Peace” in Huerfano County, Colorado and his homestead was on Valley Road and he had a ranch on Middle Creek. ...............................................................
