1. DESIDERIO LUCERO He married EUSEBIA CHAVEZ, daughter of JOSE CHAVEZ and MARIA TONETA. . Did not find this marriage back to 1850 in Taos records. But my marriage records only go up to 1860. He may prove to be the Jose Desiderio born 2-10-1844 that I have in my data base.

2. MARIA BEATRICE2 LUCERO (DESIDERIO1) was born October 8, 1867 in Sanacacio, San Acacio Costilla County, Colorado, and died August 13, 1962 in Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado. She married PEDRO PANTALEON GONZALES December 28, 1883 in Walsenburg, Huerfano County, Colorado, son of JOSE GONZALES and MARIA MEDINA. He was born July 27, 1862 in Arroyo Hondo, Taos County, New Mexico, and died October 25, 1952 in Redwing, Huerfano County, Colorado.

Mrs. Maria Beatrice Lucero Gonzales, 91, passed away Monday afternoon at her home, 801 Hendren Avenue, Walsenburg, leaving more than 150 direct descendants. A native of Costilla County, Mrs. Gonzales was born on October 8, 1870, and came to Huerfano County when she was 13 years old. Mrs. Gonzales and her husband. Pedro Pantalion Gonzales, lived at Malachite for many years before she came to Walsenburg three years ago. He died in 1952. The deceased, who was a member of the First Spanish Church of God in Christ, leaves six sons, Elias Gonzales, Abel Gonzales, and Onan Gonzales, all of Walsenburg, Ezequil Gonzales, Redwing, and Daniel Gonzales and Eli Ben Gonzales, both of Pueblo; two daughters Mrs. Eva Cortez and Mrs. Cordelia Duran, both of Walsenburg; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret King and Demetera Harmes, both of Pueblo; 40 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; and 20 great, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the First Spanish Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
