Bedford, C. A.
C.A. "Mickey" Bedford - Pueblo Chieftain - February 06, 2000 - C.A. "Mickey" Bedford, 67, passed away Feb. 3, 2000. Preceded in death by his parents, McBride and Sarah Frances; brother, Kenneth; sisters, Ruth Weisinger and Ida Edsel; and daughter, Judy Lynn. Survived by daughters, Pamela (Buck) Burns of Pueblo and Karen Sue (Louis) Giltner of Blue Springs, Mo., and Patty (David) Young of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Danny Hinchcliffe, Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Fred (Lois) Bedford of Pueblo, George Bedford of Albuquerque, N.M., and Melvin (Barbara) Bedford of Wallkill, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born in Middletown, N.Y., and joined the U.S. Army in 1949. After serving his country, he was discharged at Fort Carson. He worked briefly for the Colorado, Western and Santa Fe Railroad. He eventually went to the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad as a trainman and retired as a brakeman and conductor in 1993. He loved working with his hands and dancing. At the time of his untimely death, he was working for Renzeuberger Limo Service. He was loved by all and will be missed. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Monday, Imperial Funeral Chapel.

Bedford, Fred Sr.
Fred Bedford Sr. - Pueblo Chieftain - November 09, 2003 - Fred Bedford Sr., 74, born Aug. 10, 1929, in Middletown, N.Y., to McBride and Sarah Bedford, passed away Nov. 1, 2003. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife of 50 years, Lois Hadley. Fred retired in 1991 from the Santa Fe Railroad after 39 years of service. Fred was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Tenth Mountain Division. He is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Ron) Kennedy, Deby (Cliff) Wolf, Frances (Paul) LePage; son, Fred (Tammi) Bedford Jr.; grandchildren, Jim (Melissa) and Cale Kennedy, Eric, Ryan and Kimberly Wolf, Amanda and Sarah LePage, and Kyle and Kjerstin Bedford; great-grandchildren, Chaise and Gaige Kennedy; and brother, Mel (Barbara) Bedford. He will be lovingly missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. At his request, there will be a private family inurnment service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care in his memory.

Denis Bedingfield - Pueblo Chieftain - June 10, 2004 - Denis Bedingfield, 46, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2004. Survived by his loving wife, Ryioko Bedingfield; daughter, Heather (Kelley) Scott; son, Weston; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Rylee; father, John; and brothers, Marty, Gene and Steven. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 14, Calvary Church, 5 Tulane, Pueblo.

Bedingfield, Myra Carolyn
Myra Carolyn Bedingfield - Pueblo Chieftain - September 02, 2001 - Passed away Aug. 31, 2001, in Pueblo. Carolyn was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Aztec, N.M., and had lived in Avondale since 1989. Mrs. Bedingfield was employed as a receptionist in a local dentist office before her retirement in 1994. She was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in Pueblo and was an active volunteer with the Donor Alliance program. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jay Bedingfield of Avondale; sons, Denis (Ryioko) of Iowa, John (Ellen) of Texas, Gene (Sue) of Texas, Steven (Jennifer) of Georgia; her mother, Myra Dabbs; two sisters, Flora Bixler and Doris Ridlon, all of New Mexico; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel.

Abe Bedran - Huerfano World - April 27, 2000 - This Week in Walsenburg History - 1915: Sixteen Syrians from Aguilar and Trinidad came to Walsenburg and shot and killed Abe Bedran, 18, a brother-in-law of Abe Cutter.

Bedwell, Annabel Lea
Annabel Lea Frost Bedwell - Pueblo Chieftain - January 12, 2006 - Annabel Lea Frost Bedwell, 14, affectionately know as "Belle" went to be with the Lord Jan. 6, 2006, in Morrison, Colo. A lifetime Pueblo resident, she was born March 10, 1991. Daughter of Danny R. and Faith M. Bedwell II; sister of Maggie, Rainie and Danny Ray Bedwell; granddaughter of Jose and Margaret Sais, Patricia Valdez, Robin Hill and Danny Bedwell Sr.; niece of Joey, Robby, Torre, Mike, Nathan, Matthew, Luke, Israel, Marney, Tanya, Heather, Charity, Amanda, Jesse, Rita, Marcia, Bethany and Dakota. Also survived by her godparents, Daniel and Eileen Aranda. She was the first of many cousins, the heart of her family and a gift to all who knew her. Please come help us celebrate her life. Beebe, Agnes
Agnes Beebe - Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home – February 2003 - Agnes Beebe, age 93, passed away at the Trinidad State Nursing Home on February 5, 2003. She was born on October 3, 1909 in Gulnare, Colorado to Gus and Elizabeth (Marsh) Martin. She was married to Clarence Beebe and resided in the Valdez/Trinidad area all of her life. She was a gifted homemaker and took great pride in her family. She also enjoyed being involved in many social clubs. Agnes was a member of the Eastern Star and Zion's Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, daughter Betty Ann Madden and sister Lena Yates. Agnes is survived by her son Ken (Janice) Beebe of Denver, Colorado, son-in-law Robert Madden of Arvada, Colorado, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends Visitation for Agnes will be held on Monday, February 10, 2003 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery with Pastor Vaughn Neshiem officiating. Beebe, Ardath Lee
Ardath Lee Beebe - Pueblo Chieftain - July 14, 2002 - Ardath Lee Beebe, age 100, longtime Pueblo resident, passed away July 12, 2002. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Frank W. Beebe; daughter, Alice Lee Bigley; son, Frank W. Beebe Jr.; grandsons, Jimbo and Eddie; one sister, and two brothers. Survived by her son, Edwin Joel (Thelma) Beebe; daughter, Thelma Leslie McGrath; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is best remembered as a world class grandmother who could cure anything with her homemade chicken and noodles. She loved to sing and enjoyed spending time amusing her family with her rhymes. Visitation, 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Monday, St. Peter the Apostle Episcopal Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Maxine Beebe - Pueblo Chieftain - December 31, 2003 - Maxine Beebe, 78, passed away Dec. 28, 2003. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Beebe; and her granddaughter, Samantha Costa. She is survived by her children, Steve Halstead, Pueblo, Melody (Bobby) Hartzler, Cape Cod, Mass., and Mardell (Doug) Costa, Pueblo; grandchildren, Russell (Gwen) Halstead and Juliannah Halstead, both of Pueblo, Jason Medved, Washington State, Clark and Grant Flugel, both of Michigan, Dallas Kochevar, Cassie Costa, Cali Costa and Doug Costa, all of Pueblo, and Steven McMullen of Nebraska; two sisters, Lillian Sparks, Decatur, Neb., and Eunice (Gene) Stecks, Cheyenne, Wyo.; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She also is survived by special friends, Barbara Miller, Pat Carrington, Angie Taylor, Shelby Taylor. Maxine loved her children and grandchildren, fishing, and spending time by her ponds. Beech, Linda Lee
Linda Lee Beech - Pueblo Chieftain - March 31, 2004 - Linda Lee Beech passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2004, in Pueblo West. She was born Sept. 7, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., to Owen Morris Lee and Genevieve McCormick Lee. Linda was employed as a respiratory therapist a Parkview Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and collecting. Her survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Gary) Traphagan; and five grandchildren. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2004, in the Davis Memorial Chapel.

Beeler, John A.
John A. Beeler - Pueblo Chieftain - March 24, 1927 - John A. Beeler, age 77 years, died at the residence, 107 Veta Avenue.  Body at the Davis Mortuary. - John A. Beeler - Pueblo Chieftain - March 27, 1927 - Funeral services for John A. Beeler took place at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 25, from the chapel of the Davis Mortuary.  Benjamin F. Koperlik delivered a beautiful eulogy on the life of the deceased.  Mrs. V. A. Hagerman and Mrs. E. R. Owens, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Charles Krebs, sang:  "The City Four Square," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "Abide With Me."  The pall bearers were grandsons of the Mr. Beeler, and were:  Raymond L., Glen, and Jack Groves, Milton D. Brown, and Paul L. Henderson.  The honorary pallbearers were: John West, W.C. Percheon, G.W. Harper, and E. C. Haghberger.  The B.P.O. Elks No. 90 exemplified their ritualistic funeral service at the chapel and at Mountain View Cemetery where interment was made.  Submitted by Cathy Lampshire.

Beeler, John Bertrum
John Bertrum Beeler - Pueblo Chieftain - February 3, 1926 - John B. Beeler Dies - John Bertrum Beeler, age 45 years, died at La Junta yesterday, following a brief illness.  Mr. Beeler had resided in Pueblo for the last twenty years and was employed in the water service department of the A.T. & S. F. Railway Company here.  He was well liked by all his fellow employees.  He was survived by his wife, Bessie L. and one daughter, Alice Beeler, of the family home, 115 East Sixth Street; his mother and father, Mrs. and Mr. John A. Beeler, at 410 East Routt; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Groves of Pueblo, and Mrs. Pearl Faith of California; two brothers, Raymond, of Trinidad, Colorado and Vernard of Cleveland Ohio.  He attended the Methodist Church in Pueblo, and was a member of the W.O.W. No. 29.  The body is being cared for by the United Davis-Vories.  Funeral announcements will be made later.  Submitted by Cathy Lampshire.

Fred D. Beeman - Pueblo Chieftain - September 16, 2003 - Fred D. Beeman, 77, born Aug. 26, 1926, made his transition on Sept. 12, 2003. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ednah Beeman; six brothers and four sisters; in-laws, Howard and Flora Woolven. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Elaine; brothers, Ray (Pat) Beeman and Herbert (Lucille) Beeman; sisters, Freda Watson and Ednah Arnold; sisters-in-law, Jean Beeman and Lena (Elmer) Bauman; numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1986 from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of Pueblo Lodge No. 8, Encampment No. 14, Patriarch Militant No. 8. Cactus Star Rebekah Lodge No. 2 I.O.O.F., South Pueblo No. 31, AFAM Southern Colorado Consistory, Al Kaly Shrine and O.E.S. No. 7. Eagles Aerie No. 145. George F. Beeman - Pueblo Chieftain - January 18, 1976 - George F. Beeman, of 3221 N. Elizabeth, space 26, passed away at a local hospital, Jan. 16, 1976. Husband of Mrs. Georgia E. Beeman, of the family home; father of Mrs. Mildred Hale, Henry Leroy and Donald Beeman, all of Pueblo, and Robert Beeman, Beulah; grandfather of 13; brother of Archie Beeman, Pueblo, and Jim Beeman, Phoenix, Ariz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Jan. 7, 1908, in Orchard Park. Longtime resident of Pueblo having retired from CF&I Steel Corp. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Pueblo Aerie 145. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rouch Chapel with the Rev. Georgia Ella Beeman - Pueblo Chieftain - July 08, 1999 - Georgia Ella Beeman, 84, passed away July 7, 1999. Survived by her children, Henry (Monnie) Beeman, Robert (Patricia) Beeman, Donald (Victoria) Beeman and Mildred (Calvin) Hale, all of Pueblo- 10 grandchildren- numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, George Beeman on Jan. 16, 1976- three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Born Jan. 11, 1915, in Pueblo. Georgia was a member of Rebeccah Star No. 2, Royal Neighbors and Eagles Lodge No. 145 Ladies Auxiliary. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Imperial Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jon Weans officiating.

Beeman, Nadene M.
Nadene M. Beeman - Pueblo Chieftain - April 21, 1999 - Nadene M. Beeman passed away April 19, 1999, in Pueblo. Nadene was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Hugo, Colo., and had lived here most of her life. She was employed as a senior psychiatric technician at the Colorado State Hospital before her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Beeman was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her husband, Archie, and her children, Terry, David and Barbara Holt. Among her survivors are her son, Thomas (Rini) Beeman- daughter, Gail (Robert) Sibert, both of Pueblo- a daughter-in-law, Joanne Beeman, of New York- her grandchildren, Christopher Beeman, Scott Holt, Natalie Edwards, Pam Hunt, Elsa Halbeisen, Cheri Arellano, Patricia Mercer, Sean Beeman, David Beeman, Daniel Bassi and Barbara Pait- as well as 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Beeman will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 1999, in the Roselawn Cemetery with Pastor Jinny Bettendorf officiating. The family will receive friends at 3119 Morris Ave. following the service.

Donald W. Beery - Pueblo Chieftain - February 10, 2000 - Donald W. Beery of Pueblo passed away Feb. 8, 2000. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Inez Beery. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Vivian Beery; children, Michael (Edna) Beery, Donald L. Beery, Debra P. (Tim) Kuhn and Mark (Kena) Beery; grandchildren, Chris, Cory (Shanda) Beery, Chad, Adam, Brittney, Desarae, Andrew, Craig, Noah and Cody; brothers and sisters, Ardyth (Alva) Decker, Gerie Piserchio, Arthur (Jo) Beery, Leslie (Shirley) Beery, Helen (Jack) Dwier, Fred Beery and Larry (Margaret) Beery; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Donald Beery was a lifetime member of Prairie Avenue Baptist Church and devoted his spiritual leadership as a deacon for many years. Mr. Beery served his country during the Korean War. He will be remembered as a spiritual leader to his family and being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Donald will be missed by the many lives he touched. Inez M. Beery - Pueblo Chieftain - September 21, 1998 - Inez M. Beery, 89, of Pueblo, passed away Sept. 18, 1998, in Garden City, Kan. Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie F. Beery- and by her sister, Mary. Beloved mother of Ardyth (Alva) Decker of Satanta, Kan., Gerie Piserchio of Pueblo, Donald W. (Vivian) Beery of Pueblo, Arthur F. (Jo) Beery of Pueblo, Leslie G. (Shirley) Beery of Pueblo, Helen (Jack) Dwier of Pueblo, Fred Beery of Wichita, Kan., and Larry E. (Margaret) Beery of Golden. Beloved grandmother of 31 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters, Ida Ryan of Pueblo, Velma (Don) Hayes of Grants, N.M. - and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Beery retired from the Colorado State Hospital in 1963, where she was a psychiatric technician. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, T.G. Leslie G. Beery - Pueblo Chieftain - June 06, 2000 - Leslie G. Beery, 66, went to be with the Lord June 3, 2000. He was born Aug. 15, 1933, to Leslie F. and Inez Beery in Cripple Creek, Colo. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Beery; children, Leslie (Jeff) Maes, Betts (Don) Herron, Sheryl Beery (Frank Papish) and Richard (Bobbi) Beery. He was Papa to Nic Herron, Dustin and Ryan Serles, Tyler and Cassidy Maes, Jayde Beery and Mike Herron, all of Pueblo. Sisters, Ardyth (Alva) Decker of Satanta, Kan., Gerie Piserchio, Helen (Jack) Dwier of Pueblo. Brothers, Art (Jo) Beery of Pueblo, Fred Beery, Wichita, Kan., Larry (Margaret) Beery of Golden, Colo.; sister-in-law, Vivian Beery; mother-in-law, Edna Milner; brothers-in-law, Tom Milner, Tom (Jodean) Guay; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friend, Ron Winters. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Donald Beery; father-in-law, Tom Milner; brother-in-law, Tom Piserchio. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951-1954, during the Korean War. He was a member of the Eagles and retired from CF&I in 1983 after 27 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and the Broncos, but most of all his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at 2 p.m., Rose Chapel. Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.

Beggs, Velma
Velma Beggs - Walsenburg World - August 11, 1903 - A little girl was burned to death at Aguilar Thursday by attempting to light a fire with coal oil. Velma Beggs, whose home is at Pinion, Colo., was visiting with a relative of hers, Mrs. Chas. Ferrero of Aguilar. On last Thursday she used kerosene in her attempt to light the fire. The can exploded and the girl was enveloped in flames. A blanket was thrown over her to extinguish the flames but not before she was burned so badly that she died in about four hours. The flesh was burned so badly that it fell from the bones in places.

Behrendsen , Nina Pearl
Nina Pearl (Waller) Behrendsen - Pueblo Chieftain - May 06, 2003 - Nina Pearl (Waller) Behrendsen, 87, passed away May 4, 2003. Survived by her children, Ruth (Joe) Venezio, Jerry Waller, Don Waller, all of Pueblo, Bill (Pat) Waller, Arizona, Bob (Eva) Waller, Oklahoma, and Judy Lily, Florida; siblings, Charles Hard, Neva Burnamen, Nona Clemmons, Nova (Leo) Hudson, Neta (Bob) Jaynes and Nola Jackson; numerous grandchildren, including special grandson, Jack Waller; and special granddaughters, Johnna Culp and Sandy (Ken) Fowler; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, her dog, "T.J." Preceded in death by her first husband, Oral Waller; second husband, Edward Behrendsen; children, Jack (Peggy) Waller, James Waller and Ron Waller; and parents, George and Ada Hart. Nina was born on Aug. 29, 1915, in Bristow, Okla. She was a licensed practical nurse for many years and worked at the Monte Vista, Colo., Veterans Hospital. She loved quilting, cooking and gardening. Member of the Parkhill Baptist Church. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Mountain View Cemetery with the Pastor Doug Cox officiating. Behrmann, Harry Claude Capps
Harry Claude Capps Behrmann - Walsenburg World - May 14, 1908 - Little Harry Claude Capps Passes Away – Died on Wednesday, May 6, 1908. Harry Behrmann the little five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Behrmann, of pneumonia. The little boy had been sick for several weeks and although small hopes were entertained for his recovery at first, lately a decided improvement had been noticeable which revived some hopes which were harshly shattered on Wednesday morning. The little fellow was an only child. He had never fully recovered from the whooping cough and measles and when pneumonia attacked him his constitution was in no state to battle the dread disease. Funeral services were held from the residence of S.J. Capps at one o'clock on Thursday, Rev. C.E.Wharton, rector of the Episcopal Church at Walsenburg, conducting the services. Burial occurred in the La Veta Cemetery – La Veta Advertiser.

Bekinnie, Anthony
Anthony “Wink” Bekinnie - Huerfano World - October 23, 2003 – Accidental Death – The death of Anthony "Wink" Bekinnie, 19, of Gardner, which occurred while he was visiting in Connecticut, has been ruled an accident. Bekinnie, the grandson of Ben and Joan Eagle, died Oct. 19 after falling off a dormitory roof or through a fifth-floor window while he was visiting a friend at Yale University in New Haven, CT. Belarde, Frank L.
Frank L. Belarde - Pueblo Chieftain - July 31, 2002 - Frank L. Belarde passed away July 28, 2002, in Pueblo, Colo. Born May 21, 1938, in Gulnare, Colo., to Frank and Manulita Belarde, who preceded him. Survived by his siblings, Dolores Lucero, John Lucero, Grace (Mike) Valdez, Andrew Abeyta, Steve, Ceilo, John and Raymond Belarde, and spouses; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rosary with funeral service to follow, 2 p.m. Thursday, Imperial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens with honors presented by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.

Belarde, Raymond A.
Raymond A. Belarde - Anchorage Daily News - March 7, 2005 - Anchorage, AK - Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Raymond A. Belarde, 73, died March 3, 2005, at his Anchorage home from complications of diabetes. A Mass of resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment will be at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Mr. Belarde was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Gulnare, Colo. He graduated from high school in Trinidad, N.M., and attended Portales University in New Mexico. Serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of the 430th Tactical Fighter Squadron-555 TFS in Thailand, England, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Germany and Hawaii. In 1969, he retired. He and his family moved to Anchorage from Denver in 1970. Mr. Belarde worked with John Wayne Construction Co. and Ken Brady Construction Co., Baugh-Belarde Construction Co. and owned Belarde Enterprise Inc. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January. He had received a kidney transplant. Mr. Belarde loved ice fishing and early morning coffee klatches with friends. He also loved to golf and had one "Hole in One Award" at Moose Run. His daughter wrote: "My dad was my hero. I loved him more than words can say. He fought hard for his precious life. We cherished the time we spent with him. My dad loved his family and friends and his cat, Morris. He equally loved his country, which he fought for. We will miss him more than we can say. He was a good and honorable man. He found pleasure in helping others and making them smile with his quick wit. He will live on in all of us through all the wonderful memories all of us had with him." Survivors include his spouse, Mary Belle Belarde of Alaska; sons, Edward Belarde of Colorado and George Belarde of Alaska; daughter, Tammy Belarde of Alaska; brothers, Steve Belarde of Alaska, John Belarde of Washington, and C.S. Belarde of Alaska; granddaughter, Emily Belarde of Colorado; nephew, Lester Black of Alaska; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Belarde, and sisters, Annie Belarde, Ruth Montoya and Angie Black. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alaska Kidney Foundation. Arrangements were with Evergreen Memorial Chapel.

Belden, Edward Perry
Edward Perry Belden - Pueblo Chieftain - September 10, 2003 - Edward Perry Belden, son of Frank Lester Belden and Eva Lena Belden, died on June 13, 2003. He was 91 years of age, and he died of age related complications in Pueblo, CO. where he resided the past 21 years. Mr. Belden was born in Union City, IA. and was raised in Marshalltown, Zearing and Spirit Lake, IA. It was November 11, 1936 when he married Doris Eileen Skaare while living in Spirit Lake, IA. He worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Co. His position with the Coca Cola Company took him and his family to several different states throughout the Midwest. He then joined the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company as Plant Superintendent and moved to the west coast where he resided for 20 some years. His wife, Doris, preceded him in death on April 4, 1970. Mr. Belden worked abroad as a consultant for the Pepsi Cola Co. in the later years before retiring. He married Ethel Peters Graham in 1981. The Peters also lived in Spirit Lake, IA. Once married, Mr. Belden moved to Pueblo, CO the town Ethel had settled in. Ethel preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 1997. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, viewing sports of all kinds, football, baseball and basketball. He was a craftsman who loved to tinker in his shop, inventing creations to make life easier. He loved a good cigar and enjoyed telling his stories of the past. He is survived by his brother, Howard Belden, of Spirit Lake, IA.; and five children; Ronald Belden, of Michigan, Marilyn Smith of Connecticut, Barbara Allen, of Texas, Janis Trendt, of California and Kathy Cosme, of CA. Mr. Belden has 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mr. Belden will be laid to rest in Orange County, CA at Fairhaven Cemetery, with a private service.

Belden, Ethel
Ethel (Graham) Belden - Pueblo Chieftain - November 30, 1997 - Ethel (Graham) Belden passed away Nov. 26, 1997. Preceded in death by her parents- her two sisters, Elva Koch and Mabel Jahr - and by her first husband, Robert J. Graham. She married Edward Belden in 1981. She graduated from Minnesota State Teachers College in 1933- worked for the Public Utility in Spirit Lake, Iowa, for 14 years. She moved to Pueblo in 1951 and worked for Broome Brothers for 20 years. Member, First Presbyterian Church since 1952 and the PEO Sisterhood since 1956. She is survived by her husband, Edward- five stepchildren, Ronald Belden, Marilyn Smith, Barbara Allen, Janis Trendt, and Kathy Coome. At her request, cremation, with service 10 a.m. Monday, Comer Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cottey College Memorial Fund in Nevada, Mo., 64772. Belding, Edwin E.
Edwin E. Belding - Pueblo Chieftain - April 10, 2001 - Edwin E. Belding, 76, passed away April 8, 2001, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Glenwood Springs, Colo., on Sept. 25, 1924, to Ralph E. and Mary Belding. Mr. Belding was raised and attended schools in Eagle, Colo. He later attended college at Colorado State University. He flew combat missions in Italy during World War II and, after successful ventures in other fields, returned to flying as flight instructor, corporate pilot and airline captain. He retired from Rocky Mountain Airways in 1983. In 1944, while serving in the U.S. Air Force, he met and married Jean Vandiver at Columbia, S.C., on Nov. 11, 1944. He will be remembered by his wife of 55 years; children, William E. (Robbin) Belding and Marilyn Altenbach (Barry) grandchildren, Chris Altenbach, Michael and Michele Belding and Tracy Curtis; and one great-grandson, Scott Altenbach. There are many additional relatives and, most of all, friends who will also mourn his passing. Visitation, 2 until 7 p.m., today. Funeral service, 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2001, with the Rev. James Bimbi officiating; both to be held at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel, 2710 N. Elizabeth in Pueblo. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Survived by daughter, Carol (Jim) Clark; son, Raymond Albert Belisle; daughter, Sharon Lea Belisle; son, David (Lynda) Belisle, all of Pueblo; daughter, Joyce (Arden) Quillen of La Junta, Colo.; grandchildren, Walter J. Clark, Laura (Stewart) UnRuh, Kyle (Diane) Smith, Rebecca (Richard Valencia) Belisle, Ryan Belisle, Randy Belisle, Kevin (Christy) Quillen and Jeffery Quillen; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Daniels and Jeanette Rodrique; beloved nephew, Richard (Linda) Rochette; and sisters-in-law, Anna Wilson, Dorothy Jefferies and Lucille Stephens. Mrs. Belisle is survived by her husband of 54 years, Albert Belisle- her children, Carol (Jim) Clark, Raymond Belisle, Sharon Smith-Belisle and David (Lynda) Belisle, all of Pueblo, and Joyce (Arden) Quillen of La Junta-grandchildren, Walter (Sheryl) Clark, Laura (Stewart) Unruh, Kyle (Diana) Smith, Rebecca Belisle, Ryan Belisle, Kevin Quillen, Randy Belisle and Jeffrey Quillen- great-grandchildren, Briana Belisle, Hannah Smith, Sarah Smith and Megan Smith- sisters, Anna Wilson of Denver, Dorothy Jeffries of New Mexico and Lucille (Harold) Stephens of California- brother, Ernest Newman of Lamar- and numerous nieces and nephews.
